How I set up my camera's is very much rooted in habit. I tend to favour full manual, that is aperture, speed and ISO, in some circumstances it adds to "Creative Control" e.g bracketing exposures for landscape . But I'm not a slave to full manual , when doing sports action shutter priority is my favoured option, so I can concentrate on the action. It's very much horses for courses and with my eye sight not what it was it's illogical not to take advantage of autofocus.
In my camera bag I carry a Lumix TZ70 , and I've decided to leave the camera on "P" full automatic , the objective is to embrace the point and shot approach and utilise the amazing technology crammed into this camera body . There is a benefit of convenience and simplicity , taking that "Snap" with full focus on composition is intriguing , to test and learn what works and what doesn't appeals to me.
This is work in progress so not making a judgement time and end results will tell
